Ministerial Staff

Originally from northeastern Nebraska, Pastor Katie received her Master of Divinity from the Chicago Theological Seminary in 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theater from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and spent many years prior to seminary working as an actor/musician/vocalist/nanny in and around Chicago and New York. She still enjoys moonlighting onstage/backstage every once in a while, and that background has translated into authoring and publishing inclusive Christmas plays and pageants that have been performed all over the Midwest. Rev. Katie also has a passion for outdoor ministry and has spent time every summer over the past 10 years working and volunteering at UCC summer camps. Rev. Katie is passionate about music, people, and the great outdoors, her partner, Chris, and their cat, Tormund.
